“Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!”
Jesus Christ, our Lord, Savior and King, today and forever we honor and remember Your great sacrifice. We thank You for laying down Your life for us. We thank You for dying so we can live. We thank You for revealing and manifesting the true love of the Father to us through Your life, death, burial and resurrection.
We Remember Your “Yes” To God, Our Father
‘Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.’ Then the angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him. And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling to the ground” (Luke: 42-44).
We Remember the Suffering You Endured
“The Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed and be raised the third day” (Luke 9:22).
“He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so He opened not His mouth” (Isaiah 53:7).
“I gave My back to those who struck Me, and My cheeks to those who plucked out the beard. I did not hide My face from shame and spitting” (Isaiah 50:6).
“His face was so disfigured He seemed hardly human, and from His appearance, one would scarcely know He was a man” (Isaiah 52:14).
We Remember Your Death and Burial
“So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, ‘It is finished!’ And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit” (John 19: 30).
“And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying ‘Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?’ that is ‘My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?’… And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit. Then behold, the veil of the temple was torn into two from top to bottom…” (Matthew 27:46, 50 ,51).
“When Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, and laid it in his new tomb which he had hewn out of the rock; and he rolled a large stone against the door of the tomb, and departed” (Matthew 27: 59-60).
We Remember You…Jesus
“For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end” (Isaiah 9:6-7).
We love You Jesus, now and forevermore. We thank You for all that You have done, all that You are doing, and all that You will do! Wherever you are take this time, being led by the Holy Spirit, and remember the One who died so you could live forever!
