“He is not here. For He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay” (Matthew 28:6).
Our Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ, today and forever we celebrate your resurrection! We thank you for conquering death and leading captivity captive. We thank you for paying our sin debt in full and reconciling us to God, our Father.
We thank You Jesus for the New Covenant
“Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, equip you with everything good that you may do His will, working in us that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen” (Hebrews 13:20-21).
“For this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins” (Matthew 26:28).
“If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus Christ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9).
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old had passed away; behold, the new has come” (2 Corinthians 5:17).
We thank You Jesus for Reconciling us to God, our Father
“For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life” (Romans 5:10).
“Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespass to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation” (2 Corinthians 5:18-19).
“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6).
We thank You Jesus for giving us life and a purpose
“The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy; I am come that they might have life, and that they may have it more abundantly” (John 10:10).
“For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive” (1 Corinthians 15:22).
“He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it” (Matthew 10:39).
‘”All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.’ Amen” (Matthew 28:18-20).
We thank You Jesus that sin and death have no power in us or over us
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23).
“For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace” (Romans 6:14).
“I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?” (John 11:25-26)
We thank You Jesus that You will come back for us and take us Home
“In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am there you may be also” (John 14:2-3).
Today, we celebrate Jesus walking out of His grave. As believers in Jesus Christ, I encourage you to walk out of your grave today. Leave behind the shame, guilt, fear and sin that has you bound. Because of what Jesus Christ did on the cross, we are loved, accepted, fully restored children of the Most High God.
