Don’t Give Up

Some of you may be feeling like an old creek bed that is slowly drying up. You remember the abundance–how the peace, happiness, comfort, provision, favor, and blessing use to flow freely and uninterrupted like water. But now things have dried up and the water hasn’t flowed in quite some time. You are walking through each day weary, anxious, and frustrated–wondering when things will change. When will you be happy again?

This year, and even the previous year, has challenged my peace, joy, and comfort. However, I am learning in the midst of unfavorable circumstances, I can have peace, joy, and comfort because the God of all comfort is my Father, the Prince of Peace is my Lord & Savior, and the Holy Spirit, who lives on the inside of me, gives me access to joy.

I encourage you today to believe God instead of your circumstances. You have a Father who is close and not far off. A Father who draws near to you when you draw near to Him. A Father who sees you. A Father who knows exactly where you are and what you need. Believe that He is with you. He is for you. He is fighting on your behalf and will bring you out victorious. Better days are here and they’re coming because we have Jesus!

So today, don’t give up and don’t give in. BURN YOUR WHITE FLAG! Don’t surrender. Stand. Dig your heels in deep and refuse to be moved. The rain will come again. Wait on it. Wait on God. He is coming and everything that He is comes with Him. The breakthrough, the overflow, the more than enough.

Be steadfast. Be faithful. Be immovable. Tough times don’t last, but those who trust, believe, and have faith in God, do! It’s an absolute certainty. So, don’t worry. You got this, and God has you! Be encouraged!
