When I think about following God, I think about men like Apostle Paul who loved God more than his own life. With everything he had, Paul unapologetically and relentlessly followed God. Knowing that he would suffer many things for the name of Christ, he said “yes” again and again to the Lord. He fearlessly followed Jesus to his death–knowing that it was the only way he would ever attain everlasting life.
God loves you as He loves Paul. He has a great plan and purpose for your life. Follow Him. He will show you the way forward. For, He is the light of the world. Whoever follows Him will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life (John 8:12). The road that leads to Him is not promised to be without trial or tribulation. However, be of good cheer! He has overcome the world, AND He has promised to never leave you nor forsake you.
So, with your gift of free will who or what will you to choose to follow: (1) God, (2) Satan, (3) yourself, or (4) the world. Choose wisely. Your eternity depends on it.
