Your Weapon is a Melody

Satan is waging a fierce battle for our hope and our hearts in this season. With everything that is going on in the world, it’s so easy to pick up and carry around anger and rage like a newly acquired purse or wallet. It’s so easy to look out into the world or even at the state of our own lives and feel hopelessness. You don’t know if your life is going to change, when it’s going to change, or how it’s going to change. But you do know that it needs to change.

Some of you are in a transitional period and you’re ready for God to finally show you what’s next…what’s on the other side of all of this testing, preparation, and waiting.

I am right there with you. I know exactly how you feel. And as someone who is going through what you’re going through, I want to tell you to not let your love grow cold. When hopelessness, anger, and sadness knock on the door of your heart, you do not have to let them in. Just because those feelings come, it does not mean that you have to get in agreement with them or the enemy’s plan to steal, kill, and destroy your joy, peace, and faith in the Lord.

So today, I want to encourage you. When you start to feel sad, hopeless, angry, impatient or any feeling that you know is from the kingdom of darkness, open your mouth and worship the Light of the world: Jesus.

Psalm 22:3 tells us that God inhabits the praises of His people.

I can’t tell you how many times I was feeling down and out and it changed when I opened my mouth to sing praises to our King. The latter happens because when the light comes the darkness has to flee.

So today, sing loud! Sing off key. Sing in key. Just sing! Lift up your voice to the One who sees and hears you. The One who loves you and is for you. The One who will bring you through or bring you out! Be encouraged!
