As a believer and follower of Jesus Christ, I believe that all lives matter. However, in America, black people have been consistently shown that our lives don’t matter. We have endured more than 400 years of racism, oppression, disenfranchisement, and discrimination. Thus, we affirm our lives not in an attempt to negate or devalue anyone else’s. Black lives matter. They matter to God, and they should matter in this country. But until they do…black lives matter! Happy Juneteenth! 🖤
