Let your life be in the Son.
“I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life” (John 8:12).
One of the many things I love about God is the fact that He is love and light. His light invades the darkness in our lives, and His love heals and makes us whole.
One day, during my alone time with the Lord, He said that so many of His children suffer unnecessarily because they don’t come to Him. They don’t come and sit still in His presence. They don’t come and listen to Him.
When we read the Gospel of Jesus Christ, we see people who sought Jesus out for their healing and restoration.
As believers and followers of Jesus Christ, we must do the same. Do you know that when you search for Him with all of your heart, you will find Him? Do you know that when you draw near to Him, He draws near to you? (James 4:8) Do you know that the Lord will meet you where you are, and when He comes everything that He is comes with Him.
That peace that you need will come. That love and comfort that you need will come. That healing that you need will come. Everything that you need, will come because He is everything you need.
So, I encourage you today to seek the Lord. Sit still in His presence. Call upon His name. Cry out to Him, and when He comes, enjoy Him. Rest in Him. Lean on Him. Linger in His presence. Ask Him to open your eyes to see, ears to hear, and heart to discern all that He wants to say and do in your life.
