My heart is so full. I’ve been in a wilderness period for quite some time. I’ve had to endure suffering and discomfort–things that my flesh absolutely hate. I don’t like discomfort or suffering. This flesh that we’re all housed in doesn’t like it. However, I’ve been able to stand and endure it all because Jesus has been with me every step of the way.
I’ve come to find that there is beauty in the wilderness. There is peace in the wilderness. There is provision in the wilderness. There is rest in the wilderness. There is comfort in the wilderness. There is joy in the wilderness. There is love in the wilderness, and His name is Jesus.
Even in the midst of this suffering and discomfort, God is doing something new in and through me. He is revealing Himself to me in ways I would never have been able to see if not for the wilderness. He is truly making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland (Isaiah 43:19).
So, I want to encourage you today. If you are going through a wilderness period right now, ask the Lord to open your eyes to see, your ears to hear, and your heart to discern Jesus. He is right there with you, and He is eager to reveal Himself to you. He wants to take you deeper in Himself. He wants to show you that He is all that you need–in the wilderness and forevermore. ❤
