The Revelation is Love

If we are going to love the way God wants us to, we need to have a revelation on love. God didn’t ask us to love, He commanded us to love:

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By THIS all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another” (John 13:34-35).

Who is love?

“God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him” (1 John 4:16).

What is love?

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails” (1 Corinthians 13:4-8).

How do we know love?

“By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren” (1 John 3:16).

“We love Him because He first loved us” (1 John 4:19).

How do we love God?

“He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me” (John 14:21).

“We love Him because He first loved us” (1John 4:19).

How do we love people?

“By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments” (1 John 5:2).

“But whoever has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?” (1 John 3:17).

It’s the love of the Father, manifested to us through Jesus Christ, that will bring the prodigal sons and daughters home, set the captives free, find those who are lost, and bring those trapped in darkness into the light. The revelation is love, and His name is Jesus Christ! Brothers and sisters, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another! ❤
