God is working…

This brought me so much comfort and hope. There are things in all of our family histories that aren’t perfect or pristine. However, when we look at the genealogy of Jesus, neither was His earthly family history perfect or pristine (See Matthew 1:1-16). But God is so good that He still used those imperfect people in Jesus’s genealogy and that messy and dysfunctional family history to bring forth the perfect, holy, righteous, and blameless Messiah into the world!

This gives me so much hope for me and my family and you and your family because God can work all of that not so “pretty” and “perfect” stuff for our good if we love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28).

And not only will God work it out for our good but those destructive and dysfunctional patterns and cycles can stop with you and me when we believe in Jesus and surrender our lives to Him! That means that the generational poverty, sexual immorality, adultery, idolatry, addiction, rejection, anger, bitterness, abuse (insert any evil and wicked thing here) will stop with us and our family! 👊 Just like Jesus came into the world and destroyed the power of sin, Jesus working in our lives will do the same thing!

So, here’s to everyone who is going after healing, restoration, recompense, and wholeness for themselves and their family! ❤

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover, whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified” (Romans 8:28-30).
