The United States is divided. Clear lines have been drawn. There is division, dissension, violence, deception, lying, and unrest. Some, even self-proclaimed Christians, believe that Donald J. Trump won the November 2020 election and should remain President. Others believe that there was a free and fair election and President-elect Joseph R. Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris won the November 2020 election.
I’m apart of the “others” in the latter. I believe that God has chosen Joseph Biden as the 46th President and Kamala Harris as Vice President of the United States of America.
Romans 13:1 states: “For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.”
At the very least, God has appointed Joseph Biden as the next President to fulfill His will–whatever that may be. As much as some people may not like it or even understand it, it is God’s will.
The chaos, violence, anger, and rage that we saw at the Capitol, in response to Congress certifying Joseph Biden as President and Kamala Harris as Vice-President, is not of God. This behavior is wicked and evil. It is the work and fruit of the enemy.
The Apostle Paul, in 1 Corinthians 14:33, tells us that God is not the author of confusion, but of peace.
God is omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent. No one is like Him and no one can arraign Him. If God wanted Donald Trump to be President, no amount of alleged fraud could stop that. If God had appointed Donald Trump as President, He wouldn’t need or call Trump supporters to commit acts of violence that result in death and destruction in order to bring His will to pass. God is righteous in all of His ways. He doesn’t need or call people to commit acts of unrighteousness to bring His will to pass.
God appointed Donald Trump as President in 2016 and if it was God’s will, Donald Trump would have been reelected. However, he was not.
Therefore, I am committed to praying, every week, for President-elect Biden and Vice-President elect Harris. I’m praying for their protection and strength. I am asking God to give them both wisdom, knowledge and understanding to do all that He has called them to do. I am praying that God works in their hearts and open their eyes to see and change laws and policies that are in direct contradiction to His Word.
I hope you will join me in praying for our leaders and country. God Bless America. ❤
