“Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful” (Revelation 21:1-5).
As I look out into the world and see all of the death, destruction, injustice, and lawlessness, the only thing that truly comforts me and destroys the seeds of offense, anger, and bitterness is the promised return of our Lord & Savior: Jesus Christ.
The Son of God. The way, the truth, and the life. The One who died for all people. The One who shows no partiality to man. The One who is righteous in all of His ways and gracious in all of His works. The One who executes righteousness and justice for the oppressed. The One who is love.
If your heart is troubled by all that is happening in the world, turn off the news and look to the sky and remember… Remember that this world is passing away, and it is not our home. Remember that our Lord has promised to return and take us Home to be with Him for all of eternity. Be watchful. Be encouraged. ❤
