Is there something in your life that you have been asking God for? Is God taking His time answering? Are you growing weary and frustrated with God from waiting?
If so, answer this question: Do you believe you’ll be happier once you receive what you’ve prayed for?
If the answer is yes, you may be deceived by the devil. The happiness you will get from receiving what you asked for will only be for a moment because only in God do we find true, everlasting joy. The satisfaction and fulfillment you think it will bring, it won’t. Only God satiates the soul and fills to the full. When you have Him, you have everything that you need and truly desire, even if He doesn’t give you anything else.
Ask yourself: Will I still follow and obey God if He doesn’t give me what I want? Will I still love Him?
If the answer is no, examine your relationship with Him. Do you really love Him or do you love His hand–what He can do for you and give you.
Is your relationship a transactional consumer relationship or a transformative love relationship?
“The LORD is good to those who wait on Him, to the soul who seeks Him” (Lamentations 3:25).
In the waiting, God allows us to see what’s in our hearts.
Do we trust and believe Him enough to wait on Him?
If He never gives us what we want, are we satisfied and content in Him. Is He enough? Is He still good when He doesn’t give us what we want? Is He still God? Is He still worthy of all honor, glory, and praise?
Be encouraged! You are loved! ❤
