I felt led by the Lord to make this post because of a dream He gave me on 8/9/19.
The dream pertains to what some are calling “revivals” that are happening on college campuses across the nation.
Although I won’t share the dream because I’m not feeling led to do that, I will share the warning that the Lord gave me through the dream.
When I woke up from the dream, I heard the word “order.” I felt led by the Holy Spirit to look up Scriptures with that word in it, and these two were highlighted:
“But all things must be done properly and in an orderly manner” (1 Corinthians 14:40).
“God is not the author of confusion (disorder) but of peace in all the churches of His saints” (1 Corinthians 14:33).
After finding these Scriptures, I asked the Holy Spirit what the dream meant, and I heard (not audibly) the following:
“The Church is family. Brothers and sisters in Christ. There is a structure and an order in the way things are supposed to run and function. There is a harvest coming, new members in the age bracket of 18-22, college age students. They are all connected to one another. That’s how the harvest is going to happen. This one is going to tell that one and this one that one. However, with this generation, they are going to be zealous, eager to do the things of God but not having the knowledge, the know how or the structure. There needs to be oversight, accountability, and order.”
Therefore, it is imperative that the following happen:
- The harvest that we are beginning to see needs to be protected so it will not be lost or deplenished.
- The college-age students who are a part of this harvest need to join and serve at a BIBLE-BASED local church so they can be equipped and discipled.
- Mature and seasoned believers in the churches in these communities need to come alongside of the harvest from this generation and undergird them. The safeguards need to be put in place so the harvest can flourish and the Lord can do the work He wants to do in them and through them.
