One of the most powerful and life changing things you can do for your life and those you love is pray. With everything that is going on in the world, you can’t afford not to pray. Someone must stand in the gap, let it be you!
God is bringing better days! However, you won’t see them if you give up, so don’t!
This has been a difficult and uncomfortable season that I’ve tried to abort many times. However, I’ve learned that when I submit and surrender to the Lord, I have to do it His way. It’s a losing and hopeless battle to “kick against the goads” and resist the will of God.
As we move closer to the return of the Lord, we have to get comfortable with being uncomfortable. As we have rejoiced in good times, we have to ask the Lord to help us to rejoice and endure the challenging times. We’re going to need the perspective of Job: “Though He slay me, yet I will trust Him” (Job 13:15).
My heart is so full. I’ve been in a wilderness period for quite some time. I’ve had to endure suffering and discomfort–things that my flesh absolutely hate. I don’t like discomfort or suffering. This flesh that we’re all housed in doesn’t like it. However, I’ve been able to stand and endure it all because Jesus has been with me every step of the way.
One of the many things I love about God is the fact that He is love and light. His light invades the darkness in our lives, and His love heals and makes us whole.
I once watched a sermon by Paul Washer, and he said something that stuck with me: You cannot have an encounter with Jesus Christ and not be changed.
I wrote this poem when I was green, naive, and a bit deceived! Ayeeee, that rhymed. No, but seriously, I wrote this when I was angsty and in strong “like” with someone. Poetry is not my normal form of expression but I guess all things are possible when you’re in your feelings. 😉
There is one thing that we all want. It doesn’t matter who you are, where you’re from, or what you’ve gone through. We all want love.
The temptation to be discouraged and disappointed has been strong and consistent. Sometimes I focus on my circumstances more than I should. When I do, I get discouraged because things aren’t the way I want them to be, and the promises I’ve received from God haven’t manifested in my life, YET
