First things first, Jesus–through His life, death, burial, resurrection, and ascension has destroyed the power of sin and death (Hebrews 2:14). He has forever demolished the power of the works of the devil in our lives (1 John 3:8).
First, we know that temptation is from the devil. God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone (James 1:13).
One the hardest fights of this life is to consistently deny yourself, take up your cross, and follow after God (Matthew 16:24).
Is there anything the devil can use in this world to entice you to sin against God?
Yes, you need Jesus Christ to be your Savior.
Ask yourself, am I making a decision based off of presumption or faith in a promise I received from God.
Presumptuous sin is an intentional and deliberate sinful or rebellious act committed against God. It’s a complete disregard for one’s own conscience, God’s Word, and what a person knows to be right.
No matter what you’ve done, how long you’ve been doing it, you can turn away from your sin and run to the living God.
Pride is self-focused, self-seeking, and self-worshipping. It puffs itself up and exalts itself above everyone and everything–especially God, His will, and His Word.
