As we move closer to the return of the Lord, we have to get comfortable with being uncomfortable. As we have rejoiced in good times, we have to ask the Lord to help us to rejoice and endure the challenging times. We’re going to need the perspective of Job: “Though He slay me, yet I will trust Him” (Job 13:15).
Some of you may be feeling like an old creek bed that is slowly drying up. You remember the abundance-how the peace, happiness, comfort, provision, favor, and blessing use to flow freely and uninterrupted like water. But now things have dried up and the water hasn’t flowed in quite some time. You’re walking through each day weary, anxious, and frustrated–wondering when things will change.
