Be sober (self-control), vigilant (watchful); because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world (1 Peter 5:8).

No. Although you may be alone and feel alone, you’re not alone in your suffering. The Lord is with you. He sees you. He knows where you are. He knows what you need and how to get it to you.

“Church hurt” is uniquely painful. One of the reasons is because in Church we trust wholeheartedly without pretense or reservation. Church is suppose to be a safe place; and when it’s not, we are completely blindsided and caught off guard.
